In September 2025, Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland (OATS), Mountaineering Scotland and British Mountaineering Council (BMC) held a collaborative path maintenance event in Glen Brittle. Representatives of each organization, together with 11 volunteers, worked for three days on the footpaths leading up to Coire na Banachdich and Coire Laggan, clearing blocked cross-drains and water-bars and carrying out some essential repairs. We hope to return and continue our efforts towards keeping the built paths in a good condition, protecting the surrounding landscape and maintaining accessibility of the hills.
