Another successful one! Surprisingly, the weather behaved and apart from being blown about a bit on day one, it stayed dry and pleasant for the whole week! (I did ‘pay’ for it the following week at Stac Pollaidh 😄)
Mike Lates (Skye Guides) joined us for a day of path work, and then he came back to give us a talk on the climbing history in the Cuillins. Fascinating! We also had a very passionate talk from Phil Knott (Drumfearn Trees) about growing trees, crofting and sustainable land management.
The group of 16 managed to re-visit all the drains we cleared last year (122), and then dug out the remaining ones (141), plus building couple of brand-new cross-drains and repairing a few steps. This collaboration between OATS, BMC and Mountaineering Scotland is working very well and we are keen to keep it going.
