Coronavirus (Covid-19) protection: the hut is open but on a restricted basis due to the ongoing situation. We can currently accommodate a maximum of 8 people from up to four households. There is a 48 hour gap between bookings. Separate bedrooms should be used for each household and you must follow rules around use and cleaning of the hut which will be explained to you as part of the booking process/in notices displayed in the hut. If your booking is for less than 8 people you may be sharing the hut’s communal facilities with other households and should only proceed with booking if comfortable with this arrangement. Current charges are £20 per person per night, with a minimum charge of £50 per night and a minimum two night stay. Bookings can be made through the online booking system or by contacting the bookings secretary We are keeping arrangements under regular review and hope we can soon return to normal arrangements. Booking Conditions

This should be read and agreed in conjunction with the booking form and /or  signing the register in the Hut.
Bookings are accepted for accommodation at Glen Brittle Memorial Hut on the following
1. Those booking the hut must be members of the BMC or Mountaineering Scotland, either as individuals or through affiliated (including international ) clubs.
2. Membership number, either individual or club, should be quoted on booking and in the register in the hut. The register in the hut should be signed on arrival with dates of stay and membership number.
3. The individual making the booking agrees to the conditions and is responsible for complying with the hut rules (as displayed in the hut) and for any damage to the building and its contents. He/she( or identified member of the group) should be familiar with the fire instructions as displayed in the hut.
4. Bookings may be made online or by telephone. Bookings made online are provisional only until confirmed by the bookings secretary. The full balance NON Refundable is payable 12 weeks before date of arrival. If not paid, accommodation becomes available to others.
5. Bookings may only be made 12 months in advance. If made, bookings will be declined but details held until the  date which is  12 months before the date of arrival.  It will then be confirmed unless several clubs have asked for the same date. A draw will then be made by an independent person.  In  practice , his  only  applies  to  bookings  in May  and June
6. Current cost is £20.00 per person, per night.
7. For casual visitors, payment in cash may be placed in the safe or an online payment made (when internet access available). Record name and amount of cash left in the register.
8. Entry is by opening a key box situated on the west corner of the veranda. Codes will be provided prior to arrival along with emergency contact telephone numbers.
9. Members wishing to bring anyone under the age of 18 need to comply with the guidelines on Child Protection at
10. Maximum stay is 8 days. In May and June, preference is given to clubs booking full weeks.
11. No animals other than guide dogs are allowed in the hut.
12. No smoking please in the Hut nor in the grounds. NB. Gas Tank.
13. Park in car park if possible. Ensure gate is shut as cattle and sheep may get in.
